Ok guys…let me tell you why you are on the wrong side if you are still using windows X-perience (XP)
1. Support from Microsoft
What does this mean? Well, it means that, you won’t be having support from Microsoft if you are using windows XP. Since August 18 2014, all supports for our lovely XP ended. You know nothing is always perfect, operating systems inclusive. That is the use of supports. Lets say your Operating system(OS) is having a problem at the level of the security, i.e, hackers are easily penetrating your machine, you can easily channel the problem to Microsoft who tries to figure it out. If they notice that the problem is from their OS, they come out with a solution for your problems as PATCHES, that you download through WINDOWS UPDATE and thus you can correct the problem.
So, these guys are constantly working on improving the OS so that users can use it to the fullest. But now, with windows XP, IT’S NO MORE POSSIBLE. Using windows XP now is like living in a dead body.
2. More softwares
This one is not new. Many softwares (applications) are now written for windows vista, 7, and 8. I mean, its crystal clear here, why should you be developing food for a dead man? Come on guys.
3. 64 bit
Yea. You read it. I will challenge you especially those guys in Bamenda, to look for a windows XP 64 bit installation cd. If you got it, then come take your beer. Well I don’t mean it’s not available, But it’s like DIAMOND men. But ask for win 7 64 bit, you will get it now. Some win7 installation DVDs even come combined together i.e. 2 in 1 like win 7 32bits/64bits. You just have to choose. So why is it like this? Beacause, the production of win XP 64bits are no more available. Win XP is Dead or its dying.
More over, there are many applications now that request 64bits OS. Like Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, just to name a few. If you have windows XP, your dead!!!.
4. Windows XP mode.
This is just the final blow!!!!. Do you know that there is a windows XP mode in windows 7? Yea men, there is. That is, you just use windows XP in Windows 7, yet having but windows 7 installed!. Wow!!! Then what are you still doing with the old man XP??? Upgrade men…
